Pleasure Craft Operating Card
While the Juan De Fuca Squadron does not offer a dedicated PCOC course, preparation, materials, and cost to obtain your PCOC is included as part of the Boating Course.
Preparation and costs to obtain your Pleasure Craft Operating Card is included as part of the Boating Course, with exams held in December and April.
This card is approved by both the Canadian Coast Guard and the U.S. National Association of State Boating Law Administrators.
Individuals who pass the PCOC exam may apply for CPS Associate Membership.
Our next PCOC exam will begin in December 2011.

It's not necessary to own your own boat before you write the PCOC exam. Many of our students are considering a boat and are learning boat safety and navigation before they make their purchase. Others are 'between boats' and some people enjoy friends' and family members' boats and want to inform themselves on safety practises.
